Rosalinda and John’s Crescent Bay engagement session, was the perfect way for me to start off my 2020 wedding and engagement season. Spending the evening wondering the beach with this wonderful couple is just on of the many reasons that I love my career!
Crescent Bay engagement sessions are amazing!
Crescent Bay is a secluded little beach in the chain of beaches in Laguna Beach. Named for its crescent moon shape with rocks and tide pools on either end. The day was truly perfect with not many people on the beach. This allowed for us to have time and not many people watching them love on each other.
How they met (written by the couple):
John and I both met through work, or how he will say it, the cookie aisle at the grocery store, which is true. He was working at Budweiser and I was working for the company that owns Nabisco. We had the same grocery store route that we would go to every day. We eventually saw each other so much we struck up conversation. He found out I had moved to California from Chicago and didn’t have any friends. Because of this he told me to take down his number and he could introduce me to friends. We were then friends for about 5-6 months and then I realized that more and more that I never wanted to say bye when I had to go home from hanging out with him. He then asked me to be his girlfriend shortly after and 6 years later we are getting married!
How he asked:
Let me start off by saying that I literally had NO IDEA that I would be proposed to that night. The night started out how a lot of our weekends go. We have a game night with our friends Aaron and Olivia. We all went to dinner at Lucille’s BBQ restaurant. After that went to the store to get some beer then go home. As soon as I opened the door to the house the lights were all out which I thought was odd and I saw candles and rose petals sprinkled across the floor. I thought that maybe we had walked into a surprise John’s sister had done for her husband. So I started backing away from the door so that we didn’t ruin the surprise.
But then as I was trying to back away they were all telling me to go forward. That’s when I knew it was for me. I walk a few steps up and I start hearing our song playing and I see all of John’s family there with their phones out and I saw the room filled with balloons with our pictures attached to it and I see that the rose pedals lead to an alter. John leads me up to the alter and drops down on one knee and starts telling me all of these wonderful things then asks me if I will marry him, which I said “yes” and the whole family celebrated that night.
