Nini and Kasey’s LA Arboretum engagement session was truly my pleasure to capture. The weather was perfect and the arboretum was pretty much empty. We wondered around and had a great time laughing and just enjoying the beauty of the location.

Nini and Kasey are getting married at one of my favorite locations in just a few short weeks. Their February wedding at Coyote Hills Golf Course is going to be truly amazing. Between how stunning the venue is and how much this wonderful couple loves each other.

Written by the couple:
How did you both meet? We both meet in middle school, well…depends on who you ask because I do not remember him at all. We re-connected during senior year of High School where I introduced myself and that’s when he informed me that we went to the same middle school and not only that, we had the same class together. Upon first meeting him again as we were older, I thought that he had such a fun personality and I loved his sense of humor. I loved that he would constantly make me laugh and he was just such a fun person to be around.

What is something that you each find total cute about the other? Something that we find totally cute about each other is that we can cheer up the other person when they are having a bad day by knowing the little things that will make the other person smile.

Tell us about your first date. What did you do and were you nervous? For our first date we went to the OC Fair. We weren’t too nervous because we were so comfortable hanging around each other. He was going to ask me to be his girlfriend while riding the ferris wheel but we ran out of tickets because we got too into playing carnival games. We really wanted to win the huge stuffed animal and totally forgot to save some tickets for the ferris ride.

The Proposal!!
What’s the proposal story? Kasey proposed on Christmas day and I was totally surprised. Every year we play a big game of white elephant gift exchange with the family. However, this year was a little different. Kasey rigged the whole game by assigning everyone specific numbers and I got to pick from a bag full of #2s. With the planned numbers assigned, I was left with opening the last gift under the tree. It was a personalized story book that told the whole story of our relationship together and at the end of the book was the words “Will you please please please marry me?” and Kasey got on one knee in real life and proposed.

With such an adorable proposal story and so much love between them I can not wait to capture their wedding. Their LA Arboretum engagement session was truly one of my favorites, and I loved they allowed me to push myself with lighting and have a great time. To see more of my engagement work please go here.
